IP Version 6 @ DU
University of Denver is looking toward the exciting new world of IP Version 6.
IPv6 is not supported on the Commercial (I1) Internet today.
IPv6 is only available over the I2 network.
Currently the University of Denver is not an I2 member.
Several members of the Front Range GigaPOP (FRGP) are.
Both the FRGP & the I2 technical staff have graciously granted DU a "special case IPv6 access to I2 for testing.

Our 1st step is to get IPv6 working on on our Cisco Border Router - 10/25/05 - COMPLETE!
Next steps will include getting it into the campus.
Our current Campus Firewall does not support IPv6 - This requires a separate IPv6 Firewall installation.
We are evaluating Vendors and Open source solutions.
Stay Tuned!
